Official USA Synod Mandates
Bp.Rochelle,OST and the RLCC USA Synod retaining all rights as the RLCC, Province of the United States of America have seen fit to resolve some Difficulties in international law, and RLCC constitution in the RLCC USA Synod mandating the Creation of, "The Church of St.Thomas Int." (Liberal Catholic). By and with all rights of The RLCC constitution as an independent provincial synod to serve its members. The Church of St.Thomas Int. which is not governed by the RLCC or connected to the RLCC except as the RLCC USA Province has mandated. Bp.Rochelle will serve as the appointed Abp.
"The physical distance between the Mother Church in Great Britain and the Provincial Church in the United States, with members of the The Order of St.Thomas Internationaly, as well as the costs of operating a Sacramental and Apostolic non-salaried clergy, necessitated that the day-to-day Ministrations of the USA clergy and attatched international members be free and unencumbered, even though both Churches are of theological union. Domestic laws of incorporation and tax reporting requirements were also considerations. The continuation of the Wedgwood line of succession through the newly mandated Church of St. Thomas Int. via the Reformed LCC is more strategic than spiritual."
We thank Bp. R. Palmer for allowing us to continue the work of Our Lord Christ in the beloved Liberal Catholic Church and especially in being able to share the Episcopal succession of our founding Bishop, James I Wedgewood.
